Managing hydronic systems at scale
Located along the Carcavelos coastline near Lisbon, Hilton Cascais Residences is a premium development combining a five-star hotel with exclusive residential living, just steps from the ocean.
The project includes:
- 67 hotel rooms
- 116 luxury apartments
- full hospitality services including SPA, restaurants, kids club, and indoor & outdoor pools
Designed as part of a wider urban development plan, the project aims to achieve LEED Gold certification, combining architectural quality, living comfort and environmental sustainability.
In this context, managing HVAC performance across a large number of terminal units represents a critical challenge, where consistency and system control are essential.
Pre-assembled control, engineered for consistency
To support the HVAC system, Pettinaroli supplied over 900 XT702G hydronic connection kits, complete with V54402 24V actuators, in 1/2" and 3/4" versions, designed for fan coil applications.
The adoption of pre-assembled solutions allowed to:
- simplify installation across a large number of units
- reduce on-site complexity and installation errors
- ensure repeatability and consistency across the system
This approach proved particularly effective in a project of this scale, where installation speed and system uniformity directly impact overall performance.
Stable ΔT and long-term performance
The selected solution contributed to:
- precise hydronic balancing across all connections
- stable ΔT control, supporting system efficiency
- reliable long-term operation of HVAC systems
- faster and more efficient installation phases
By combining engineered components with pre-assembled solutions, Pettinaroli ensured consistent performance across the entire system, aligned with the project’s quality and sustainability targets.
