NAIA TERMINAL 3
One of Southeast Asia’s busiest aviation hubs, Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport has undergone a major redevelopment program aimed at improving operational efficiency, passenger comfort, and the overall quality of airport services.
As part of the renovation works at Terminal 3, several technological and HVAC infrastructure upgrades have been implemented to support the increasing demand of a facility operating around the clock. In such a complex environment, where system reliability and long-term performance are essential, the selection of durable and high-efficiency HVAC solutions played a key role throughout the project.
THE PETTINAROLI SUPPLY
For the refurbishment of the Terminal 3 HVAC systems, Pettinaroli 2” Dynasty Series 92 PICVs equipped with BluDRIVE smart actuators were specified for the air conditioning installations.
The Pettinaroli solution was selected to ensure precise flow control, operational stability, and long-term reliability even under demanding operating conditions. The integration between Dynasty PICVs and BluDRIVE actuators enables advanced system management, improving Delta T control and contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the airport facility.
EFFICIENCY, CONTROL, AND LONG-TERM RELIABILITY
Thanks to the advanced smart functions of BluDRIVE, the HVAC system benefits from dynamic and highly accurate regulation, helping reduce energy waste and minimize the inefficiencies typically associated with low Delta T conditions. Advanced monitoring capabilities and BMS integration also allow faster and more effective management of the entire system.
Dynasty Series 92 PICVs are particularly suitable for applications where poor water quality may compromise the performance of conventional valves over time. The distinctive dirt-resistant diaphragm ensures stable operation even in dirty water conditions, improving reliability, extending service life, and simplifying maintenance operations across the entire HVAC installation.
