PROJECT INFO
Located in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, Chiangmai Ram Hospital is a private healthcare facility with 350 beds, operating since 1993.
The project involved the renovation of the existing hospital, including work on its hydronic HVAC system. In this type of healthcare facility, accurate flow control and reliable system operation are important to support thermal comfort and continuity across the different areas of the building.
The project was designed by EM Design and Management Co., Ltd., with Tri-En TOENEC Co., Ltd. acting as contractor.
PRESSURE-INDEPENDENT CONTROL FOR THE HVAC SYSTEM
For the renovation project, Pettinaroli supplied more than 200 complete PICV assemblies, combining Series 92H and Series 83 Pressure Independent Control Valves with actuator configurations selected according to the different control requirements of the system.
The solution included both ON/OFF and proportional control configurations, together with spring-return and fail-safe functions where specified.
By combining pressure-independent flow control with dynamic balancing, the supplied assemblies help maintain stable flow rates when differential pressure and operating loads vary within the HVAC network. This supports improved system controllability and reliable operation in a demanding healthcare environment.
LOCAL TECHNICAL AND COMMISSIONING SUPPORT
A key aspect of the project was the technical assistance provided through Pettinaroli established cooperation with TR Goal Supply, its partner in Thailand.
This local presence made it possible to provide on-site assistance and commissioning support directly in Chiang Mai, approximately 700 km north of Bangkok. The project team was therefore supported not only through the supply of the hydronic control solution, but also during the implementation and commissioning stages.
The ability to combine an integrated valve and actuator solution with qualified support outside the Bangkok metropolitan area represented an important advantage for the project.
Through appropriate product selection, coordinated PICV and actuator configurations and local technical assistance, Pettinaroli contributed to the renovation with a solution aligned with the technical and operational requirements of the hospital HVAC system.
